At the end of the movie, Peter Gibbons gets a job with his Neighbor as a construction worker. And after Peter’s friends leave, He goes back to shovelings then the scene cuts to Milton on his vacation which he payed for using the stolen money. However, if you look at the characters before it shows Milton at the resort (In Mexico, I think.), you can see the manager about to talk to Peter.
